When I was about two years old in the month of May in 1999, my father took me to my first film in theaters. The film we went to go see was The Mummy, starring Brendan Fraser, Rachel Weisz, John Hannah, and Arnold Vosloo. Since then it has been one of my favorite films to this day, but of course many more films have appeared on my film journey and studies. My father, who is an artist, has been someone who taught me to really appreciate art in its purest form. Growing up I have been involved in the art of music, and physical drawing and paint art, and in 2019 I had made the decision to be involved in cinematic art. As a child my father had always taken me to the theaters such as the United Artist theater in La Canada, California, and the AMC theater in Burbank, California.
Watching various films have taught me something different, from genre to genre, I have grown to appreciate how much effort is placed in to each film. Whether the budget may be big or not, Film is visual storytelling and I see it equal to being a form of expression, similar to literature and visual art. I am currently studying to get my bachelors in cinematography and hopefully find myself in the career of film in the future.

Arthouse Cinema has been influential to all sorts of films, as they differ within genre, tone, style, phonetic sound and music, themes and subjects. Art films are specifically made not for money, as they are aimed for a niche market rather than the mass media audience.
